Buenos días!

Ahora que por fin hace más frío, apetece más tejer, pero si encima es por una buena causa, mejor que mejor!

Mercè y Lola, que regentan la merceria La Creativa Mertxesites, organizan un acto solidario para recaudar fondos para la plataforma solidaria "Esabar Saharaui Badalona Cooperació", que se dedica, entre otras cosas, a organizar campamentos para niños saharuis.

La idea es tejer una manta colectiva de granny squares para incluirla en el sorteo del evento.

Crochet Motifs

Crochet Motifs es el nombre del libro que compré cuando estuvimos en NY y que ya os enseñé. Hasta ahora no me había puesto a hacer uno de los 100 motivos que hay. Aquí os enseño no sólo la primera muestra, sinó además mi primer hexágono.
Crochet Motifs is the name of the book I bought when we were in NY and already show you. Until now I had to do one of the 100 motifs out there. Here I show not only the first one, it's also my first hexagon.
Al final decidí añadir un par de vueltas más.
Finally I decided to add a couple of rounds more.

Creo que con el título de esta entrada queda claro para quién es la última manta que he hecho, y es que mi amiga Sira ha tenido un precioso principito llamado Gerard.
I think that with the title of this post is clear who is the owner of the last blanket I made. My friend Sira had a beautiful prince named Gerard.

Las telas que he utilizado las compré en Nunoya, menos la de color naranja, que es de Ribes i Casals. Nada mas verlas me encantaron para una manta de niño.

I used fabrics I bought in Nunoya, except the orange, whichone I bought in Ribes i Casals. I loved them for a blanket for a child.

Para la composición simplemente he combinado las diferentes telas en cuadrados. Para el borde he aprovechado los restos de las mismas telas.

For the composition I have simply combined the different fabrics into squares. To the border I used the remains of the same fabrics.

Está cosido a máquina y acolchado a mano en tonos verde y azul. Creo que para el próximo proyecto intentaré acolchar también a máquina, jejeje...
It's machine stitched and quilted by hand in green and blue colors. I think for the next project also try quilting machine, jejeje...

Como la parte delantera es muy alegre, quería algo más discreto para la trasera, y al final me decidí por esta tela rayada que compré en Ribes i Casals.
As the front is very happy, I wanted something more discreet for the back, and I finally decided on this striped fabric I bought at Ribes i Casals.

Qué pena que las fotos sean tan malas! Creo que la próxima vez saldré a dar una vuelta y buscar exteriores.

Bolso japonés

Ocho meses son los que he tardado en acabar el bolso que quería hacer con las telas japonesas de Nunoya que Alex me regaló los Reyes pasados. Madre mía, con esta media por proyecto no me extraña que acabe tan pocas cosas, jeje!
Se trata de un bolso bandolera muy sencillito, en el que he combinado los distintos estampados que tenía.
Eight months is that I took to finish the bag I wanted to do with the Japanese Nunoya fabrics that Alex gave me at Christmas. Ups, with this average to make one project no wonder so few things to finish, jeje!
This is a very simple shoulder bag, which I have combined the various prints I had.

Al principio me volvía loca haciendo posibles combinaciones, pero al final me di cuenta de que con unas telas tan bonitas, las pusiera como las pusiera, quedaba bien! Una buena manera de empezar el mes de septiembre!
At first I went crazy making possible colour combinations, butfinally I realized that any fabrics combination will be so nice! A really good way to start September!

Sorpresa, sorpresa!

Menuda sorpresa! Mi amiga Mireia ha estado de vacaciones en Islandia y me ha sorprendido con el mejor souvenir: Un fantástico libro de punto típico islandés!
What a surprise! My friend Mireia has been on holiday in Iceland and I was surprised with the best souvenir: A fantastic book about Icelandic knitting!

Por supuesto que el nivel está muy por encima de mis posibilidades, pero me encanta el libro. Casi todos los modelos se basan en la técnica "Intarsia" (que yo desconocía hasta el momento). Muchos patrones pueden tejerse tanto en punto de media como en ganchillo.
Of course the level is well beyond my means, but I love the book. Most models are based on the Intarsia technique (which I know so far). Many patterns can be woven in both knitting and crochetting.
¿Habéis visto esta manta? Es una pasada, parece una manta de patchwork!

¿Quién no aprovecha el cambio de estación para hacer limpieza en el armario y sacar ropa que ya no usa?

Después de descartar aquello que podía dar la última vez, éste es el montón de camisetas que me quedó y por primera vez, decidí darles un buen uso. La idea me la dio Mercè, la profesora de crochet que he tenido este verano y que tiene su propia tienda.

Babero para bebé

Cualquier excusa es buena para empezar nuevos proyectos, pero la de tener amigas embarazadas es la mejor. Tengo una amiga a la que apenas le queda un mes para el día D, por lo que ya le estoy preparando cosas.

La mantita está a falta de acolchar, la cual mostraré cuando la haya acabado. Pero de momento tengo preparado este babero.

La tela la compré en Nunoya. Quizás no es el tejido más apropiado para soportar el tipo de manchas de un bebé, pero me gustó y..., por qué no?

lo acabé! Recordáis el bolso que tenía entre manos, pues he conseguido acabarlo, y aquí estoy para mostraros los resultados. He hecho alguna modificacion con respecto al patrón original, ya que he tejido tanto la tira que ajusta como el asa para colgar. A ver que os parece...

Además, creo que ya tiene propietaria, y precisamente no soy yo.
